3-2-1 gun Challenge
WMF&G 3-Gun Challenge! STAY TUNED FOR THE DATE OF THE NEXT 3-GUN CHALLENGE! The last challenge was Saturday, October 2nd. It started at 8:45AM with a mandatory safety briefing.
The range was closed down at 5:00PM the Friday evening before to set up for the shoot. After the mandatory safety meeting, the 3-2-1 Gun Challenge began at 9:00. Shooters tested their skills against fellow shooters using a rifle, shotgun, pistol; one, two or all three! NOTE: Western Maine Fish & Game follows IDPA rules along with standard range rules.
The event consists of 2 stages to test the shooter's ability with a rifle, a shotgun and/or a pistol. The "Challenge" is open to all shooters & spectators. Some virus precautions are necessary. Lunch is be available to purchase! For those unfamiliar, the 3-2-1 Gun Challenge is a "move and shoot" course. Run 1, 2 or all 3 classes. $10 for each class. Shooters need 100 rounds minimum per class and 3 Mags each for rifle and pistol. There usually is a Gun Raffle Prize Giveway!!
These events are fun shoots to help raise money for the club. During the shoot, the range is closed to all other activities. Shooters are expected to plan ahead and make themselves familiar with the basic guidelines for the event located at the bottom right of our Home page.
